Feel like at home

Longyearbyen is precisely the sort of place where it’s easy to belong. In Svalbard, people come and go from all over the world virtually all the time, and most of them only stay here a short time. The social structures are dynamic, and the initiatives are many. Consequently, visiting guests can create a local life here for a short while too; naturally with respect for the town’s culture, but also largely on their own terms. Try out the "city loop" or the local's favorite hiking trip to the Plateau mountain. During the weekends you will find the locals enjoing a Saturday steak at Huset
