All the highlights of Svalbard in a 4 day-long trip all around Isfjorden! It is a perfect tour for those who have no time to waste.
It gives you an insight into Svalbard in winter: in only 4 days, you will travel across the island and visit the stunning highlights of nature such as century-old glaciers, endless snowy-white vast expanses and various cosmic reliefs.
Like an Arctic express you'll travel through 3 of the settlements on the archipelago: Barentsburg, Longyearbyen and legendary Pyramiden.

Day 1. Longyearbyen – Todalen – Skiferdalen – Grondalen – Barentsburg
When you arrive at the airport in Longyearbyen by one of the day flights, our guides will meet you and drive you to the expedition center Russkiy Dom for lunch, briefing on safety and snowmobile instructions, and equipment fitting. The adventure begins, and you will depart to Barentsburg, a coal mining settlement where you will live through the traditions of locals and explore how various the Arctic is. Upon arrival, warm dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant Rijpsburg, and you can relax in the cozy interiors with a hot drink. Overnight in the hotel in Barentsburg.
Day 2. Barentsburg – Colesdalen – Fardalen – Longyearbyen
This day there is an option to visit the mine of Barentsburg. After breakfast, you will go for a guided tour around the town to hear the stories of then and now, from Willem Barents's discoveries to the present-day. When the tour is finished, optionally, you are welcome to visit Barentsburg Husky Center "Norddogs 78". You can even try yourself as a real musher and go on a dog sledding trip along the shore of Grønfjorden. After lunch in the restaurant, you will drive a snowmobile to Longyearbyen, where there will be a guided tour and a-la-carte dinner in one of the local restaurants. Overnight in the guesthouse Russkiy Dom.
Day 3. Longyearbyen – Sassendalen – Lomonosovfonna - Nordenskiöld glacier – Pyramiden
After breakfast, the big journey awaits to legendary Pyramiden. On the way, you will reach a wonderful place that makes you feel tiny in this huge world – the massive Nordenskiöld Glacial Wall, one of the signature sights of the archipelago. Field lunch is served on the way. Upon arrival, there will be a guided tour in Pyramiden. With a fascinating historical background and after being preserved in 1998, the town is now an Arctic time machine and an open-air museum that brings you back to the USSR. Warm dinner is served in the hotel restaurant where you can relax watching documentaries about Pyramiden in the lounge zone. Overnight in the hotel in Pyramiden.
Day 4. Pyramiden – Nordenskiöld glacier – Lomonosovfonna – Sassendalen – Longyearbyen
If the weather permits, after breakfast, our guides will offer one of the snowmobile short trips in the surroundings of Pyramiden so you can enrich your exploration of the Northern Isfjorden area. Lunch is served on the way or in the hotel restaurant. After a visit to the post office and souvenir shop, you will drive back to Longyearbyen to see more of the true Arctic wilderness. Upon arrival, it is time to say goodbye and have a-la-carte dinner in one of the restaurants in Longyearbyen.
In Svalbard, weather conditions change quickly, so that is why for the safety and comfort of our guests, the tour program might be changed in regard to the itineraries and destinations.
A valid driver’s licence for car or motorbike is required to drive a snowmobile. Remember to take it with you on the tour. The passenger do not need to have a driver’s licence.
