We invite you to a PopUp food and cultural experience in Gruve 3 from 26.01 to 18.03 2023.
PopUp Norge has invited some of the country's best chefs to Svalbard. These chefs have been given the task of creating a 7-10 course menu, where they make their own specialties by using local ingredients.
Over 8 weeks, the restaurant will be visited by 8 different chef teams. Only 40 exclusive places are available each Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening.
PopUp Norge's sommelier, Helle, collaborates with each chef team, to create a unique wine pairing for every course of the tasting menu. (The wine package can be ordered in the restaurant)
This is a total experience: the evening begins with a trip into the mining facility, where an aperitif will be served, then moves to the "day facility,” outside the mine, for the meal. The restaurant has been custom built for the occasion and is warm and atmospheric in the polar night.
Transfer to and from the center of Longyearbyen is included.
Departure at 17:30, with return at approximately 23:30.
Nice and warm clothes and shoes are recommended as you will spend some time outdoors before entering the restaurant.
