About

5 days Dogsled expedition to the east East Coast of Svalbard Experience true arctic wilderness. On this tour you will learn and experience what Svalbard really can offer in terms of experiences off the beaten track. Tommy Jordbrudal from  Arctic Husky Travellers will ensure that long trip will be a memory for life. Tommy has over 20 years experience in dog sledding expeditions in the Arctic. He has run the longest dog sled races in Alaska and Europe and travelled several times to the North Pole by dog sled. On this trip you will, in addition to unforgettable experiences, also learn the skills of dog sledding and winter outdoor activities under demanding conditions. You need no previous experience from dog sledding to attend, but you should be in average to good physical condition. Weather in the Arctic is unpredictable and can change within a few hours. With both cold and wind the temperatures can quickly become down to -15 ° C also in May, but normally the frist week of May in Svalbard is the best time for pleasant winter travelling and camping with 24 hrs daylight, still good snow conditions and often nice sunny weather.
