About

Svalbard has many options when it comes to classical ski adventures. The landscape is different, depending on where you are. Starting from Longyearbyen, we have Nordenskiöld land as the most available area for longer ski expeditions. The area has a varied landscape, everything from big mountains, glacier systems, valleys to the coast line. We will be in a non-motorized area without noice from vehicles like the snowmobile. During five days, you will experience a classical adventure in Svalbard.

Day 1:

Preparation and planning of the trip. The guide will pick you up at your accommodation at 09:00 in the morning. From here, you drive to the storage to have a review of the trip and to prepare and pack all equipment in the pulks. After lunch, we will be transported to our start point of the trip, Bolterdalen. We will start skiing some kilometers before we settle our first camp for the night.

Day 2:

We continue our way in to «Bolterskaret» before we head gently down towards Tverrdalen and Reindalen. This day we will ski in narrow valleys, surrounded by inland glacier and mountains.

Day 3:

After breakfast we will pack the camp together and start the ski trip towards Reindalen. During the day we will continue up this valley and head to the Kok glacier, on the North side of Reindalen. When getting to this area the terrain change and we arrives in to an alpine terrain with mountains and peaks surrounded by glaciers. Here we will settle our camp for this night and enjoy the landscape.

Day 4:

This day we will spend in the area of «Møysalen». There are alternative routes of the day, and we will plan this together. Maybe we can visit on of the peaks, or take ski trip in the nearby surroundings. The mountains in this area are the highest one for several kilometers, and on a clear day, the view is stunning.

Day 5:

The last day brings us back to the low land again, and to «Jansondalen” and Adventdalen. From here we ski back to the beginning of Bolterdalen where our ski trip started, and our transport back to Longyearbyen will be waiting for us.
