Nordenskiöld Lodge is a robust gem of a cabin, situated in front of the mighty Nordenskiöld glacier, with spectacular views of the mountains, fjord and glacier. This is the world's northernmost commercial cabin, and Basecamp Explorer is proud to give our guests the experience of a close encounter with the arctic wilderness elements.

Here you are in the middle of the polar bear's kingdom, and the bay below the cabin is regularly visited by seals and whales.

Nordenskiöld Lodge has a stylish and rough architecture, with a large and cozy living room as the heart of the lodge. Here you find a long table that are used for meals, and which also work well for strategy meetings or other collective work. The living room has a large day bed, with a view of the glacier front. A perfect place to relax, while your eyes rest on the activity in the glacier. At the cabin, you fall asleep and wake up to the rumbling sound of the glacier's continuous movements.

The cabin has a separate wood-fired sauna, with the option of a refreshing dip in the sea or a small mountain lake located in the immediate vicinity of the cabin.

The hosts at Nordenskiöld Lodge prepare tasty meals throughout the day and are happy to light the bonfire for snacks and good drinks after a trip or work session.

Nordenskiöld Lodge can only be reached by boat (summer) and snowmobile (winter). The journey to the cabin is a large part of the stay. You get close to arctic nature, with fantastic proximity to snow-covered tundra or marine life.
