October's Enchanting Blue Hour

In Svalbard, the period from October to February is known as the Northern Lights Winter. This time is highly cherished by the locals and often full of surprises for visitors. At the beginning and end of the Northern Lights Winter, the days are bathed in a unique pastel-colored light known as the blue period. It is beautiful, magical, and colourful. If we are fortunate, the Northern Lights will also dance across the sky during the night. The full moon adds an extra layer of mystique to the landscape, acting as natural stage lighting. Contrary to what some might think, the dark season doesn't mean staying indoors. On the contrary, Longyearbyen is a paradise for outdoor activities all year round. And after a day out in the sparkling winter cold, there's nothing better than retreating to a cozy restaurant.

We've created a 6-day program to inspire your next Svalbard adventure. But remember, this is your adventure! You can customize the program exactly as you wish.
