The Svalbard Cruise Forum was established on the initiative of Visit Svalbard in February 2023 as a collaboration between main local cruise stakeholders, including AECO – the Association of Artic Expedition Cruise Operators.
Svalbard Cruise Forum has logistics, regulations, and local economic impact on the agenda, and works to minimize the strain on the local community, by working to spread the cruise calls and coordinating the logistics around arrivals. The ambition is to increase the local economic impact and to minimize the local environmental footprint through dialogue between the industry and the local businesses.
On this page, you will find relevant information regarding our local cruise cooperation, updated list of calls and information about sailing in Svalbard waters.
Svalbard Cruise Forum invites major stakeholders involved in cruise tourism in Svalbard, and all cruise operators, to a digital pre-season meeting to prepare for the upcoming season. All cruise operators visiting Svalbard in 2025 are expected to participate in this important meeting.
Register here to participate in the digital Teams meeting on the 29th of April.
