Join Hurtigruten Svalbard on a boat trip with a steady Polarcirkel boat. The guide will decide the exact route according to the weather conditions and will take you on a journey through the fascinating history of Svalbard. We will visit places with cultural monuments with a historical connection to old mining operations.
We will first go to Hurtigruten Svalbard's expedition center where you will get an exposure suit and life jacket. Here we also go through a safety briefing and the guide explains the plan for the trip. Afterwards we head on to the harbor and out in Isfjorden.
Isfjorden is bustling with birds that have migrated from all corners of the world, and we will drive to Diabasodden and Fuglefjellet to experience the vivid bird life. With some luck, we may also spot a whale on the way.
Throughout this 3 hour long trip you get to see and learn a lot about Svalbard. Hot drinks are included.

Language
Safety is our highest priority, and the guide needs to be able to give directions you understand. To participate on one of our excursions, it is required that you speak and understand English or one of the Scandinavian languages.
