Join us for a unique ski touring camp on Svalbard, developed for ski enthusiasts and adventure-seekers looking for a wilderness experience. Over three action-packed days, you’ll explore Svalbard’s stunning landscapes, learn winter camping skills and have the possibility to ski day and night.

What to Expect

Day 1 - Begins with preparations and an introductory ski tour before we set up camp. The evening is spent organizing the camp, enjoying a delicious dinner, and preparing for polar bear watch.
Day 2 - Is dedicated to skiing! After a good breakfast in the communal tent, we set out for multiple ski tours, tailored to the group’s skill level and goals.
Day 3 - Wraps up the adventure with breakfast and packing. If conditions allow, we’ll aim for one last summit before heading back to Longyearbyen for a hot shower and perhaps some well-deserved après-ski with the group.

A True Arctic Adventure
Our camp is nestled far from snowmobile routes, giving you a pure wilderness experience. You and the other participants take turns on polar bear watch, while the guide ensures your safety and comfort throughout the tour. This is an extraordinary chance to experience Svalbard’s wild nature up close!

Requirements
You should be comfortable skiing off-piste and, ideally, have some experience with ski touring. Avalanche rescue equipment is mandatory for all ski tours with Svalbard Wildlife Expeditions.*

You don’t need to be an expert at ski touring – our guides will lead you safely uphill and can offer helpful tips for the descent, helping you improve your technique. Our goal is to provide the best experience possible.

Disclaimer
The program of the trip may be changed along the way due to weather conditions or other safety conditions that we have no control over. In addition, the presence of polar bears near our camp may require changes so as not to disturb their natural habitat and to ensure the safety of guests. This may also mean that we have to return to Longyearbyen and make day trips. The safety of wildlife and our guests is our top priority throughout the expedition.
