Discover Svalbard

Discover Svalbard offers booking of all kinds of activities such as dog sledding, ice cave, snowmobile tours, sightseeing, boat tours, kayaking, etc. Discover Svalbard is a family business run by Tarjei Våtvik and Daiane Freitas. Tarjei was born and raised in Longyearbyen and therefore knows Svalbard very good. His parents still live in Longyearbyen and own Svalbard Villmarkssenter AS, also a tourism company. Daiane is from Rio de Janeiro and moved to Svalbard in 2008. Both have
been working with tourism in the island for about 10 years. 

We are working to make visible all activities that occur on Svalbard for the visitors. We work with several tour operators, this means that we can offer a wide range of activities - both summer and winter. Svalbard has a lot offer, so when we receive a request, the first idea is to understand what our guests want and make it happen. 

We can help with accommodation, day trips, expeditions, food experience, scooter rentals, hiking equipment, transport, you name it. Whether you are here on your own, with your family or with your business we can tailor a tour program for you. 

We are happy to help with the organization and execution of logistical tasks such as transport, research, filming, photography, or smaller tasks as well.
