You will be picked up at your accommodation and dressed up with good, warm clothes and shoes. We will have a briefing about snowmobiling before we head out to the Russian mining community of Barentsburg, located in Grønnfjorden.
Join us on a snowmobile journey through the wilderness to the Russian settlement of Barentsburg. This town has the second largest population on Svalbard, a coal mining community of around 350 people. In Barentsburg we take the time to explore, with many interesting sights to see, and we are served with a Russian lunch at the hotel or the brewery.
Our route for this day-trip takes us through fantastic and diverse nature; through huge valleys, over mountain sides, and up snow-covered glaciers. Our friendly and professional guides have all the experience and drive to make this an unforgettable experience, while remaining safe in such a wild and unforgiving environment.
We recommend that everyone drives their own snowmobile; this is easier than driving with a passenger. This trip is dependent on weather conditions, as well as a minimum number of participants.
Our snowmobiles have a industry leading fuel economy and are therefore the one of the most environmentally friendly snowmobiles on the market.
Included:
Transport to and from your hotel
