Svalbard Brewery, established in 2011, brewed its first beer in August 2015. Six years of efforts to change the law from 1928, which prohibited production of alcohol on Svalbard, ended with success. Robert Johansen's longevity in Svalbard and his love for the island has been the impetus for the establishment of the brewery at 78 degrees north. Do you want a different experience?
