Step into the polar night and experience it with all your senses.
Arctic Float offers a unique way to immerse yourself in Svalbard’s winter landscape. Dressed in an immersion suit that keeps you warm and dry, you will enter the icy waters of Adventfjorden and let the sea carry you.
Lean back, breathe and take in your surroundings. Snow-covered mountains rise around you, the lights of Longyearbyen glow in the distance, and the Arctic sky stretches overhead. If the conditions are right, the Northern Lights may even appear above you.
No two days on the fjord are the same. Some are calm and still; on others, you may feel the waves and hear the wind sweeping across the water. Come prepared for a raw and authentic Arctic experience you will late forget.
Arctic Float is a wonderful contrast to Svalbard’s more active adventures. After a day of snowmobiling, dog sledding or exploring an ice cave, it is a chance to slow down and connect with the Arctic environment.
Afterwards, warm up in our cosy boathouse with hot drinks and traditional Norwegian waffles. Try the local favourite of brown cheese while listening to stories from Svalbard - a warm and welcoming end to a truly special experience.
