As daylight returns to Svalbard, the landscape transforms into a world of glowing pastels, long shadows, and glistening snow. Join our evening snowmobile tour to Colesbay, where you’ll experience the Arctic at its most magical – and as the season progresses, you may even ride beneath the midnight sun.
We pick you up at your accommodation and take you to our basecamp, where you’ll receive all necessary equipment, warm clothing, and a thorough safety briefing. This tour is suitable for everyone – no previous snowmobile experience is required. We provide clear instructions and start gently to help you feel confident and comfortable.
From Longyearbyen, we travel through Advent Valley and into the wide, open Coles Valley. During this time of year, the Arctic light is truly unique: soft spring colors, the deep blue hour, and eventually the golden glow of the midnight sun. The route covers 80–90 km in total, offering a full and rewarding evening adventure without being too demanding.
Upon reaching Colesbay, you’ll discover the remains of the old Soviet settlement, dramatically situated between mountains and fjord. Here we take a break to enjoy hot drinks and warm expedition food under the midnight sun – a rare and unforgettable Arctic experience.
The return journey takes you back through shifting evening light as the landscape glows in shades of pink, blue, and gold. A perfect Arctic evening from start to finish.
