Travel into the Arctic tundra and experience Adventdalen in a truly unique way—from a specially designed husky wagon, inspired by a traditional sled but fitted with wheels for summer.
Led by a team of eager Alaskan huskies, you'll travel through one of Svalbard's greenest valleys, where mountains, endless tundra, and Arctic wildlife create an unforgettable backdrop.
Your adventure begins with pick-up from your accommodation in Longyearbyen.
Before heading out, we'll stop at our equipment storage, where you'll be fitted with warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy boots to ensure you're comfortable in the ever-changing Arctic weather.
Then it's time to meet the stars of the day—our friendly and energetic huskies.
Feel the excitement build as the dogs get harnessed and eagerly await the signal to run.
During the tour, you'll have the chance to both relax and enjoy the scenery as a passenger and experience the thrill of driving the husky wagon yourself.
You will receive a safety briefing and driving instructions from your guide before take-off.
As the dogs carry you across the vast tundra landscape, keep an eye out for Svalbard reindeer peacefully grazing, flocks of Arctic birds, and perhaps even an Arctic fox in the distance.
Along the route, you will also see remnants of the historic coal mining era, where rusting machinery and abandoned structures offer a glimpse into Svalbard's remarkable past.
This is more than a sightseeing tour—it's an authentic Arctic adventure that combines the joy of working with huskies, stunning wilderness, and the captivating history of Svalbard.
Svalbard's fragile tundra is strictly protected, which is why we always stay on established routes and respect the environment around us. Picking flowers and disturbing wildlife are prohibited, and we are committed to following these regulations to help preserve Svalbard's pristine wilderness for future generations.
The tour lasts approximately 3-3.5 hours, including transportation to and from your accommodation in Longyearbyen.
Our huskies are our friends, our colleagues, and the heart of our operation.
Their welfare always comes first.
If temperatures become too warm for our huskies (which may happen only a few days each summer),
we'll offer an alternative husky experience.
If the alternative doesn't appeal to you, you'll receive a full refund
