Experience the true Svalbard – on a Ski Expedition with Pulka Dreaming of silence, vast wilderness, and the feeling of a real Arctic expedition?
Join us for a ski adventure you'll never forget!
With your pulka gliding behind you, you'll travel at a calm and steady pace through Svalbard’s untouched landscapes
– far from noise, crowds, and everyday stress.
This is where you start noticing the details: animal tracks in the snow, shifting Arctic light over the glaciers,
and the quiet crunch of skis on frozen ground.
Your journey begins in Longyearbyen and leads into Nordenskiöld Land National Park – one of the most varied and scenic areas for multi-day ski expeditions. With no modern distractions, you'll fall into the natural rhythm of expedition life – days filled with skiing through dramatic terrain, and evenings spent unwinding at camp.
This is more than just a trip – it’s a journey into the Arctic, and perhaps a little into yourself, too.
Are you ready for an adventure?
Day 1
At 09:00, you’ll meet your guide and fellow expedition members for a briefing at our base.
Together, we review the route, check equipment, and pack the pulks with everything needed for the days ahead.
After lunch, we head into Adventdalen and begin skiing into the Arctic wilderness. As civilization fades behind us, the silence of nature takes over. We set up camp in Bolterdalen, where you'll learn the simple routines that make life on expedition both practical and deeply rewarding. No prior camping experience is needed – your guide will support you every step of the way
Day 2 We pull our sleds up through Bolterskaret, surrounded by steep mountains. From here, we descend into Tverrdalen, where untouched snow and quiet landscapes welcome us. Out here, far from settlements, we rarely see anyone but reindeer and Arctic foxes.
By evening, we reach the edge of Reindalen – one of Svalbard’s largest valleys. We set up camp with panoramic views in every direction, as the Arctic silence settles over us and the vastness of nature becomes deeply felt.
Day 3 The day begins with the comforting smell of coffee in the tent. We’re now deep in the wilderness, and the journey continues through Reindalen, pulling our sleds toward Kokbreen on the northern side.
As we move forward, the landscape transforms once again – jagged peaks rise like nunataks from the ice, creating a dramatic and awe-inspiring setting. We set up camp in this spectacular terrain and take time to absorb the silence and beauty of the Arctic.
Day 4 Today we venture into the Møysalen glacier area – one of the highlights of the expedition. We ascend 500–700 meters, surrounded by some of the region’s most dramatic peaks. Depending on weather and snow conditions, we may aim for a summit or simply traverse the glacier’s vast, open terrain, soaking in the grandeur of the Arctic landscape.
Day 5 Our final morning in the highlands brings mixed emotions – pride in the journey behind us, and a wish it could last a little longer.
We ski down through Jansondalen and Adventdalen, pulks lighter and movement smooth.
As the valleys open up, we return to Bolterdalen, where the adventure began.
Transport awaits to take us back to Longyearbyen – but the Arctic has a way of staying with you, and part of you will wish the expedition never ended.
This expedition is designed for those in good physical condition with some experience on backcountry skis (day trips are sufficient – no camping experience required). You should be comfortable pulling your own sled (30–40 kg), skiing 15–20 km per day, sleeping in a tent in cold conditions, and contributing to the group. A positive mindset is essential – no glacier experience is needed.
