Would you like to experience Arctic nature from the deck of a sailboat?
Do you dream of going ashore on a desolate beach in front of a glacier in the wilderness of Svalbard?
Do you like traveling in small groups?
We are a small tour operator specializing in Arctic sailing with shore excursions.
Our sailboat is called Aurora, and is a cozy vessel with room for 4-5 passengers.
A day with us looks like this:
We meet at the quay in Longyearbyen at 09:00 for a short introduction and safety briefing.
Then we sail to our planned destination in Isfjorden and drop anchor.
Around noon we eat lunch on board, before using the dinghy to get ashore.
There we will go on a guided tour for 2-3 hours - adapted to the fitness level of the group.
Examples of places to visit are Ekmanfjorden, Borebukta, Bjonahamna, Kapp Fleur de Lys or Colesbukta; the destination of the day is chosen by the captain according to weather conditions and the group's wishes.
After the land excursion we will sail back to Longyearbyen. On the way back, coffee, tea and some snacks will be served.
It is also possible for groups to book the entire boat for a day; then we can create a tailor-made program that suits your group.
