Welcome to Svalbar, a gastropub in the heart of Longyearbyen that takes you on a culinary journey inspired by polar expeditions.
With a rustic interior filled with details from the world of exploration, we aim to honor courageous polar explorers such as Nansen, Amundsen, and Lindstrøm.

Svalbar is a gathering place for locals and our visiting adventurers alike. Whether you are planning a day trip or a longer expedition, Svalbar is the perfect spot for a pleasant lunch, a tasty dinner, and great drinking experiences into the evening.

With a diverse menu, we offer our bestseller, the Svalbar burger, as well as tempting dishes like tapas, juicy steaks, and pasta.
Svalbar has also included dishes to honor the most renowned chef in polar history, Lindstrøm, with signature dishes inspired by his talent and contributions to polar expeditions.

Monday – Sunday: 16:00 – 02:00
Lunch menu: Friday & Saturday 11:30 – 16:00
Friday steak is served every Friday between 16:00 and 18:00.
