Write a new entry in your travel diary and join us on a Fjordcruise towards Billefjorden & the Nordenskiöld glacier.
We set course towards Billefjorden, which is often covered in ice during the early season. As the Fjordcruise approaches the ice edge, you will have amazing opportunities to witness the incredible Arctic wildlife that thrives in this area. Keep a close watch and you might spot whales, seals, walrus, and a variety of birds.
And if we're lucky, we may even catch a glimpse of a Polar bear or two as they take a leisurely stroll on the ice.
If the ice conditions allow it, this cruise will also showcase breathtaking views of the Nordenskiöld glacier.
This tour has focus on the nature experiences alongside the ever-changing ice edge in Billefjorden and the inner parts of Isfjorden. We reserve the right to change this on short notice. Feel free to contact us via email (info@svalbardcruise.com) if you have questions about this Fjordcruise
Our Svalbard Cruise Team is excited to share Svalbard the way we think is the best; from the water – and our Cruise Hosts look forward to talking about the history of Longyearbyen, settlements, visible remains of former activity, glaciers, wildlife, and possibly also sharing a polar “tall tale” or two…
A warm lunch is served on board as we sail along the ice edge (or by the glacier) - with Pyramiden in the far distance.
Barbequed meat and baked salmon is on the menu, served with a pasta salad, rice, and bread. A vegetarian option can be added at the time of reservation.
