Svalbard Church located in Longyearbyen, is the world’s northernmost church.

Svalbard Church is part of the Church of Norway and organised by the Bishop in Nord-Hålogaland.

The Church is a meeting place and a venue for both religious services and cultural gatherings. Our daily work is diverse. With the majestic Arctic landscape as altar cloth, we meet with all kinds of people in all of life's situations.

The vision of Svalbard Church is to be an open and generous church, diaconal and alert.

The church is normally open 24 hour every day.
