Welcome to an artist talk where you can learn more about Maritea Dæhlin, and her exhibition 'A-FI-SA. But it might not be tomorrow' at Nordover Art Centre.
Maritea Dæhlin is an interdisciplinary artist raised between Mexico and Norway, with second-generation Bamiléké heritage from Cameroon. Her dynamic upbringing deeply influences her creative practice, providing a foundation for exploring themes of identity, multilingualism, and shifting perspectives. Dæhlin's work spans video, sound, performance, photography and text. She was a resident at Artica Svalbard in 2023, nominated by Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum.
Bianca Hisse is a visual artist and choreographer based in Oslo. Her artistic practice investigates how places are choreographed by social and political issues, employing performance as a tool for imagination and resistance. Blurring the boundaries between visual arts and dance, her work sheds light on how the body can move against inflexible and oppressive systems, envisioning choreographies of collective freedom. She is a current resident at Artica Svalbard and was nominated by the Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA).
Liv Brissach is curator at Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum / Davvi Norgga Dáiddamusea and is based between Bodø and Lofoten. Previous projects include Ring of Fire at Kistefos (2025), co-curating Everything Speaks – the opening exhibition at Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum in Bodø (2025) and MUNCH Triennale – "The Machine is Us" (2022) as well as serving as assistant curator for The "Sámi Pavilion" at La Biennale di Venezia in 2022. Their texts can be found in publications by Tate, MUNCH, OCA, Artes Mundi, and Fotogalleriet.
