Deep in Fulmardalen, Fulmarhytta is our remote winter cabin and the base for our journeys to the East Coast.
Reached only by snowmobile, Fulmarhytta offers a warm and welcoming place to return to after days spent exploring the wilderness.

After long days travelling through valleys, across glacier systems, over sea ice and along the coastline, coming back to Fulmarhytta is an important part of the experience.
Here, you can warm up, enjoy a good meal and rest in a warm sleeping bag before heading out for the next day’s adventure.

Standing alone in Fulmardalen, with no other cabins nearby, Fulmarhytta gives you a unique starting point for exploring the East Coast.
There is simply no place closer to this spectacular and untouched landscape.
Out here, the silence and the surrounding nature set the pace.

The cabin is not big – and that is exactly what makes it special. Life here is simple, much like it has been for Arctic trappers throughout history.
The seating bench is transformed into a bed at night, and with sleeping areas across two levels, Fulmarhytta accommodates up to six guests.
Sharing this space creates a warm and social atmosphere, where guests quickly become part of the same adventure.

This is the experience for those who value genuine wilderness experiences and want to explore Svalbard far beyond the usual routes.
Days are spent travelling through a dramatic landscape, with long snowmobile journeys, changing weather conditions and moments that will stay with you forever.

From March to April, you can choose between a shorter one-night trip, a two-day adventure, or a three-day expedition with Svalbard Wildlife Expeditions.

The cabin is heated with kerosene heater and privytent will be put up outside.
