About

An Arctic introduction to Svalbard’s nature, wildlife and stunning glaciers by closed boat!

WELCOME TO SVALBARD!

We welcome our guests who arrive by cruise ship in the harbor of Longyearbyen.
Specially for those guests, we have created a perfect experience with our comfortable closed boat to discover Svalbard in one of the best ways, in a short amount of time.

Join us for an Arctic introduction to Svalbard’s nature, wildlife and stunning glaciers!

You will embark on our closed RIB boat (including toilet) for an incredible Arctic adventure.

We will set course towards the massive Isfjord, which is the largest fjord in the area and known to be a feeding area for many whales.
Keep your binoculars ready as soon as we depart — whales, belugas, walruses, and maybe even polar bears can appear at any moment during our time on the water.
After crossing the Isfjord we will set course to one of the massive glaciers across the fjord.
Often walruses or seals can be found on sea ice in front of the glaciers.
Enjoy our warm expedition lunch or dinner in Arctic surroundings whilst floating in front of the glacier, appreciating true Arctic silence around you.

If time allows we will visit a second glacier or go on land to watch the walruses a bit more up close.
Our guide will know the best spots to visit for that day!
This tour is here to give you the best possible Arctic experience in terms of nature, glaciers and spotting wildlife.

Included:
Our professional and dedicated skipper and guide, warm expedition food, hot drinks and sweets, Search & Rescue insurance, emergency and safety equipment, transfer to and from your accommodation.

What we recommend you to bring:
Please make sure to dress properly for Arctic weather conditions.

Our recommendations for this trip would be to wear: Sturdy waterproof boots/shoes (above the ankle), (soft shell) pants, shell jacket (wind and waterproof), base layers, warm socks, insulating mid-layer, warm hat (like a beanie), warm mittens/ gloves and a filled water bottle.
If you can, choose woolen materials closest to your body.

Although the boat is warm inside, it can be cold on the water and when we get on land.

Important to know:
If we need to adjust our planned route due to safety reasons, weather or conditions, we hold the right to do so.

There is no reimbursement if we need to.

We reserve the right to refuse you to join our activity, without any refund, if you do not arrive on time, are not properly prepared in terms of clothing or in any way not capable of joining our trip. Your safety is our main concern.

Make sure you are in normal physical shape.
This trip is relatively easy, but it could be experienced as moderate/demanding (all depending on conditions and weather).

Although our activity is also focused on wildlife, their presence can never be guaranteed.

Pickup: at your accommodation around the time stated on your confirmation.
Please just wait if we are not there on time.
We pick up everyone at the same time, so we could be some minutes later.
