Ride across the winter white landscape on a snowmobile. Hidden within Svalbards untouched wilderness lies Tellbreen - the ice cave – that guards a secret world of ice.
The hum of the snowmobile against the crisp snow is an amazing feeling while you will be with your own thoughts and enjoying the beautiful majestic valleys we pass by. We will have a stop on the way and we might even be able to spot a bit of the Arctic wildlife with a reindeer or a snowfox on our way. At the foot of Tellbreen, we will stop the snowmobiles and continue the journey on foot into the ice cave. As soon as we reach the entrance there is no noise, no rush – only the sound of snow beneath you and the sculpted ice formations. Every frozen ripple tells a story – of movement, of pressure, of time itself. The ice has been formed by meltwater channels through 1000 of years and it is known for its stunning ice formations and historical insights. Your guide will serve a warm drink and warm lunch before riding back and we will breathe in the cold Arctic air and think of this beautiful natural ice sculpture we have just witnessed.
