Join us for a relaxing and memorable evening by Isfjorden, where we slow down, enjoy the beautiful Arctic surroundings, and take time to look for some of the amazing bird wildlife that makes Svalbard so special.

When the activity of the day fades away and the crowds have returned to town, a different side of the Arctic appears.
The bird lagoon becomes calm and peaceful, and this is the perfect time to sit quietly, listen to nature, and watch the many Arctic birds that call this area home.

Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation, and together we’ll drive along the coastline towards the Isfjorden.
Once we arrive at the lagoon, we’ll find the best place to enjoy the evening. Sometimes we’ll settle into the cozy wooden shelter, and other times we’ll take a gentle walk along the lagoon to get a closer look at the bird wildlife and find the perfect viewing spot.

This is an evening where there is no need to rush. We’ll take our time, enjoy the endless light of the Midnight Sun, and simply experience the peaceful atmosphere of the Arctic.
With a warm drink in your hand and a small sweet treat to enjoy, you can sit back and watch life unfold around you.

The lagoon is an important nesting area for many Arctic birds.
During the summer months, you may see Arctic terns, ducks, geese, and many other species preparing for their long journey south.
The Arctic tern is especially fascinating, as it completes one of the longest migrations of any bird in the world.
With some luck, we may also spot the Rock Ptarmigan, the only bird that stays on Svalbard throughout the winter.

But the surprises of the Arctic do not end with the birds.
Our guide will keep an eye on the fjord, as beluga whales or a walrus sometimes make a special appearance.
The area is also a favourite hunting ground for the Arctic fox, so keep your eyes open as we explore the shoreline.

This is a simple but special Arctic experience.

Our professional and dedicated guide, hot drinks and sweets, rescue insurance, emergency and safety equipment, transfer to and from your accommodation.

What to bring:
We recommend that you bring: Sturdy boots (above the ankle) and in case of bad weather some proper pants (soft shell) and jacket (wind and waterproof), base layers, warm socks, insulating mid-layer, warm hat (like a beanie) and warm mittens/gloves.

Important to know:
If, for safety reasons, we need to adjust the planned route, we reserve the right to do so.
Your safety is our highest priority. In such cases, no refunds will be given.
In the unlikely event that we are unable to carry out the trip, either by adjusting the route or by starting the booked tour, you will receive a full refund.

Pickup: at your accommodation around the time stated on your confirmation. Just wait if we are not there on time.

We pick up everyone at the same time, so we could be some minutes later.

Age limits:
This experience is not suitable for children under the age of 8 years. 
All under 18 years old need to be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellations:
If you need to cancel, please notify us in writing.
Cancellation reimbursement:
- 22 days or more prior to departure: 95%
- 21-8 days prior to departure: 50%
- 7 or less days prior to departure: 0%.

Refunds:
We are not able to offer a refund due to route changes, sickness, cancelled or delayed flights or any other circumstance outside our control. 

We recommend you have a valid travel insurance.
