About
Nordover Art Centre is located right in the heart of Longyearbyen, which is open year-round with two exciting art exhibitions.
One is a unique collection featuring paintings and prints by the Norwegian artist Kåre Tveter. At the world’s northernmost art centre, you can as well see a contemporary exhibition curated by the Northern Norwegian Art Museum.
In our café, you can enjoy what is said to be one of Longyearbyen’s best cappuccinos, along with something sweet.
Here, guests can sit and read or work in a quiet, climate-controlled environment with a beautiful view over the small town's busy main street, Hiortfjellet, and Platåfjellet.
Nordover also houses a cinema open in the evenings, and a colourful shop filled with Arctic handicrafts.
Throughout the year, we offer an active and dynamic programme with various events.
