We welcome you in Longyearbyen!

This activity gives you both a nature and sightseeing experience when you arrive in Longyearbyen. We will start with a tour by car along the city highlights, before we will start our short hike through the valley of Bjørndalen, where we always will be on the lookout for wildlife and enjoy the Arctic nature. We will pick you up from the cruise terminal. This trip is also suitable for children and combines a bit of hiking and sightseeing. Warm drinks and snacks included. Small group guaranteed.

Included
Our professional and dedicated guide, hot drinks and sweets, rescue insurance, emergency and safety equipment, transfer to and from the cruise terminal.

What to bring
We recommend that you bring: Sturdy waterproof hiking boots (above the ankle), (soft shell) hiking pants, shell pants and jacket (wind and waterproof), base layers, warm hiking socks, insulating mid-layer, warm hat (like a beanie), warm mittens/ gloves, comfortable day pack and a filled water bottle. If you can, choose woolen materials closest to your body.

Important to know
During all Viking cruises, we will only focus on wildlife/nature and skip sightseeing, since that is included in the itinerary of Viking

If we need to adjust our planned route due to safety reasons, we hold the right to do so. 
There is no reimbursement if we need to.
We reserve the right to refuse you joining our activity, if you fail to be well prepared clothing-wise, according to our “What to bring” section.
Your safety is our main concern.

Age limits
All ages are welcome. All under 18 years old need to be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellations
If you need to adjust your booking, let us know. If available, we gladly guide you on another day of your preference. However, if you need to cancel you need to notify us in writing.

Cancellation reimbursement:
22 days or more prior to departure: 95%
21-8 days prior to departure: 50%
7 or less days prior to departure: 0%.

Refunds
We are not able to offer a refund due to route changes, sickness, cancelled or delayed flights or any other circumstance outside our control. We recommend you have a valid travel insurance.
