Join our hiking trip towards the glacier and visit a stunning ice cave with us!

We start our trip from Longyearbyen, where we will pick you up from your accommodation. Our hike will start uphill towards the ice cave on Larsbreen. After a good hike, that demands some physical condition, we will reach the ice cave where we will go inside. We descend into the cave with our helmets and headlamps on and find our way through the different layers of ice. These meltwater channels can date back for thousands of years! Inside we take time to observe and experience this true Arctic nature phenomenon. During our warm drinks and snacks, we enjoy the silence and the shelter of the ice cave.

After our visit we can enjoy a magnificent view over Longyearbyen and if we are lucky, we might even see the northern lights dancing in the sky. There will be plenty of time to take in and capture all the beauty this frozen world has to offer.

Included
Our professional and dedicated guide, hot drinks, warm food (lunch/dinner) and sweets, rescue insurance, emergency and safety equipment, transfer to and from your accommodation.

What to bring
We recommend that you bring: Sturdy waterproof hiking boots (above the ankle), (soft shell) hiking pants, shell pants and jacket (wind and waterproof), base layers, warm hiking socks, insulating mid-layer, warm hat (like a beanie), warm mittens/ gloves, comfortable day pack and a filled water bottle. If you can, choose woolen materials closest to your body.

Important to know
If we need to adjust our planned route due to safety reasons, we hold the right to do so.
There is no reimbursement if we need to. 

We reserve the right to refuse you joining our activity, if you fail to be well prepared clothing-wise, according to our “What to bring” section.

Your safety is our main concern.

Age limits
This experience is not suitable for children under the age of 10 years. All under 18 years old need to be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellations
If you need to adjust your booking, let us know. If available, we gladly guide you on another day of your preference. However, if you need to cancel you need to notify us in writing.

Cancellation reimbursement:
- 22 days or more prior to departure: 95%
- 21-8 days prior to departure: 50%
- 7 or less days prior to departure: 0%.

Refunds
We are not able to offer a refund due to route changes, sickness, cancelled or delayed flights or any other circumstance outside our control. We recommend you have a valid travel insurance.
