On the lookout for wildlife! Nature Hike through the valley of Bjørndalen - Snowfox Travel

Join us on this easy accessible, but stunning nature hike, which will take us through the beautiful valley of Bjørndalen.

We will start our tour at 09:30 am, where your guide will pick you up at your accommodation. From here we will drive along the coastline towards Vestpynten, where we will leave our car behind and we will start our walk through the valley.
Bjørndalen is known for its rich flora and fauna and it is thé place near town to have a chance to spot Arctic wildlife such as the Arctic fox, Svalbard reindeer and Arctic birds in the summer.

Along the way your guide will tell you more about the beautiful flora and fauna and the rich history of Svalbard. We will make sure to stop for warm drinks and sweets, and also to take some great photos.
When it is time to drive back to town, we will make sure to be on the lookout for belugas along the coastline where we will enjoy our warm lunch!

Included:
Our professional and dedicated guide, lunch, hot drinks and snacks, rescue insurance, emergency and safety equipment, transfer to and from your accommodation.

What to bring:
We recommend you to bring: Sturdy waterproof hiking boots (above the ankle), (soft shell) hiking pants, shell pants and jacket (wind and waterproof), base layers, warm hiking socks, insulating mid-layer, warm hat (like a beanie), warm mittens/ gloves, comfortable day pack and a filled water bottle. If you can, choose woolen materials closest to your body.

Important to know:
If we need to adjust our planned route due to safety reasons, we hold the right to do so.
​​​​​​There is no reimbursement if we need to. 

We reserve the right to refuse you joining our activity, if you fail to be well prepared clothing-wise, according to our “What to bring” section.

Your safety is our main concern.

Cancellations:
If you need to adjust your booking, let us know. If available, we gladly book you on another day of your preference. However, if you need to cancel please notify us in writing.

Cancellation reimbursement:
- 22 days or more prior to departure: 95%
- 21-8 days prior to departure: 50%
- 7 or less days prior to departure: 0%.

Refunds:
We are not able to offer a refund due to route changes, sickness, cancelled or delayed flights or any other circumstance outside our control. We recommend you have a valid travel insurance.

Age limits:
This experience is suitable for all ages. All under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
