We’ll pick you up at your accommodation and bring you to our basecamp, where you’ll receive full snowmobile gear, a safety briefing, and clear driving instructions. No previous snowmobile experience is required – our guides ensure you feel confident and comfortable before we set off.
From Longyearbyen, we travel through Adventdalen and follow the trail toward Elveneset, one of the area's best viewpoints. Along the way, you’ll experience wide open valleys, snowy mountain scenery, and the beautiful Arctic light. The route is varied but easy to ride, making this tour ideal for beginners and families.
At Elveneset, we stop to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over Isfjorden. Here, we take a break to enjoy hot drinks and warm expedition food, giving you time to take photos and soak in the Arctic tranquility.
We then follow the same route back, experiencing the landscape from a new angle – a perfect, well-rounded adventure for anyone looking for a short yet memorable snowmobile experience on Svalbard.

To stay comfortable throughout the day, we recommend wearing warm wool base layers and socks. A small daypack for extra clothing is also a good idea. If you normally wear glasses, we strongly suggest using contact lenses for this tour.
Your safety is our top priority. Therefore, we may adjust the route depending on weather and snow conditions—this will not affect the tour price. All participants must follow the guide’s instructions, and please note that the guide does not take passengers.
Children must be at least 8 years old to join. A valid driver’s license for car, motorcycle, or snowmobile is required to operate a snowmobile, and it must be brought on the tour. For safety reasons, pregnant women cannot participate. Driving under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited. Liability and rescue insurance are included, but all guests must have their own travel insurance.
In the event of material damage due to negligence, repair costs may be charged to the driver.
Terms & Conditions for Day Tours and Activities
Most activities require a minimum number of participants. Please refer to the tour descriptions in the program for specific details. We reserve the right to make changes to prices, itineraries, minimum participant requirements, and departure times. Some tours are also subject to weather conditions.
Activities may be arranged outside the scheduled periods upon request, provided that the minimum number of participants is met.
Cancellation Policy – Day Tours & Activities
Cancellation up to 22 days before the activity: full refund
Cancellation 21–8 days before the activity: 50% refund
Cancellation 7–0 days before the activity: considered a no-show and is non-refundable
If you have travel insurance, you may apply for reimbursement directly from your insurance provider, usually upon presenting a medical certificate.
