Have you ever dreamed of taking a swim in the Arctic?
Join us for a fun, unique, and unforgettable evening experience along the coastline of Spitsbergen, where you can take the plunge into the cold Arctic waters while being surrounded by mountains, fjords, and the beautiful glow of the Midnight Sun.
Your adventure starts with pickup from your accommodation.
We’ll leave Longyearbyen behind and follow the coastline out towards our outdoor tent, located where the Isfjorden and Adventfjorden meet.
With the Arctic landscape all around you, you’ll quickly feel that this is not an ordinary evening activity.
At our tent camp, we’ll provide you with a warm bathrobe and a place to change before heading down to the shoreline.
Your guide will share some practical information, answer any questions, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before the big moment arrives.
Before entering the water, we’ll check the water temperature to make sure the conditions are right.
Then it’s time for the fun to begin!
How you experience the ocean in the Arctic, is completely up to you.
Some guests take a quick dip and wade, some swim for a while, and some decide to be extra brave and go fully under the water.
No matter how you choose to do it, the feeling of standing in the Greenland Sea with the mountains rising behind you is something you won’t forget.
While you warm up in your bathrobe, enjoy a hot drink and take in the incredible surroundings.
Watch the Midnight Sun glow over the fjord, feel the fresh Arctic air, and enjoy the moment, as you’ve just taken a swim in one of the northernmost oceans in the world!
Afterwards, we’ll head back to our tent camp where you can enjoy a warm shower, clean towels, and a chance to get comfortable again.
Then we’ll gather for a relaxed BBQ buffet while enjoying views of the nearby lagoon and the Arctic birdlife that calls this area home.
Your guide will share stories about the different bird species around us, and if we are lucky, we might even spot beluga whales passing through the fjord.
To celebrate your achievement, we’ll finish the evening by handing out your very own official Arctic Bathing Certificate, a fun reminder that you took the cold plunge in Svalbard!
This is more than just a swim.
It’s laughter, a little bit of courage, incredible nature, and a story you’ll be sharing long after you leave the Arctic.
* Swimwear is not mandatory, and those who dare to jump in with or without it, will receive a unique certificate.
