Svalbard Husky is a small family owned business, consisting of around a 100 dogs. We specialize in short and long expedition trips, with full focus on the dog experience and dog health.
Mia and Audun married in September 2018 and together they have guide education, expedition experience and many years of dog mushing behind them. They moved up in 2014 and have lived here since then. You will meet them in the dog yard where they usually spend their awake time, and you can even be so lucky to get them as a guide or handler.
With us it is all about giving you the taste of dog mushing and how it is to be a dog musher. Our guides are educated and certificated with experience in the dog environment. Even though dog mushing is the main part of our products, the most important part is the dogs you are going to meet. There are many of them to get to know and they are all looking forward to say hello to you. Our dogs are social and accommodating, easy to get to know even if you are used to dogs or a little skeptical and super eager to get out to go running.
Svalbard Husky are proud members of Visit Svalbard and the Eco-lighthouse. Both signs of quality and strong values. We focus on environmental friendliness, Friluftsliv (outdoorlife) and nature based products, that will provide you with both contact with the dogs and the nature you will experience together with us.
We're looking forward to meeting you!

The best way to experience the beauty and endlessness of the Arctic landscape is on a dogsled. During this time, the light has returned from the long polar night and everything is awake again. As always, our huskies are ready to run.
