Far above the Arctic Circle, Svalbard offers a unique opportunity to witness the aurora borealis dancing across the polar sky. Led by experienced local guides, this tour combines spectacular scenery, fascinating history, and the thrill of chasing one of nature’s most extraordinary phenomena.

Travel by vehicle through the wilderness surrounding Longyearbyen as we search for the best weather conditions and darkest skies. Along the way, we visit some of the area’s most iconic locations, including the historic Northern Lights Observatory, Mine 6, and several scenic viewpoints beneath Svalbard’s mountain peaks.

Your guide will share stories about the region’s polar history, mining heritage, and the science behind the aurora while helping you capture photographs of the night sky.

Every tour is unique, as our route is adapted to current weather and aurora forecasts to maximize your chances of experiencing the Northern Lights at their best. Warm drinks and plenty of photo opportunities are included throughout the evening.

Please note that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and sightings cannot be guaranteed. However, our guides use local knowledge and up-to-date forecasts to give you the best possible chance of seeing them.

What is included:
Transfers from and to your hotel, hot drinks and snacks, certified local guide with polar bear protection, safety equipment and Search&Rescue insurance.

What to bring:
Warm boots, wool base layer, windproof jacket, outdoor pants, hat, buff, windproof mittens\gloves and water bottle. We do recommend to bring extra layer clothing with you, such as puffy jacket or warm sweater

The route can be adjusted due to the weather conditions and presence of wildlife and northern lights.

Your pick-up time depends on your hotel’s location, so please allow for a slight variation in the scheduled time.

We are not able to offer a refund due to sickness, cancelled or delayed flights or any other circumstances out of our control, therefore we recommend you to have valid travel insurance.
