Journey along the west coast of Spitsbergen on a full‑day snowmobile safari that combines dramatic Arctic scenery, historic sites, and real chances to see wildlife. This tour takes you from Longyearbyen into the rugged coastal landscape where miners, trappers, and hunters once lived, and where reindeer still roam the valleys and frozen fjords. One of the highlights is Fridtjovbreen, where we pause to admire the impressive glacier front and take in the vast Arctic scenery.
This snowmobile tour follows the west coast from Longyearbyen, crossing valleys, glaciers, and sea ice toward the Fridtjovbreen area.
You’ll pass closed mining towns, hunting cabins, and other traces of the region’s past, while enjoying expansive views over Isfjorden and the open sea. The route is designed for a mix of riding and stops, with plenty of time to take photos, learn about local history, and enjoy the Arctic atmosphere.
There is no visit to Barentsburg on this tour; instead, the focus is on the natural landscape, Fridtjovbreen, and coastal history.
