Arctic Travel Company Grumant is a DMC (Destination Management Company) based on Svalbard, we have created a fully featured tourist infrastructure: hotels, a hostel and guesthouse, restaurants and bars, brewery, a husky kennel, post offices, souvenir shops, a Russian handicraft center, museum-exhibition center, film-stock cinema and opportunities for a variety of activities: snowmobile and boat trips, dog sledding, kayaking, hiking, trekking, guided tours, handicraft workshops, etc.
As a tour operator, we offer multi-day winter and summer tours which include accommodation, complex meals and a la carte menu, snowmobile or boat transportation, various types of activities and guiding.
You will find with us a wide range of short and week tours in winter and summer seasons that fit every taste and age. Besides, standard group programs we organize individual tailor-made trips fully focusing on a customer's requests.
Our harbors in Barentsburg and Pyramiden are ready to host the calls of cruise and expedition ships. Moreover, our well-equipped floating docks in both settlements receive small vessels, yachts, schooners, PolarCirkels, tender calls of cruise ships.
We offer the exclusive visit to the mine in Barentsburg. It is the only operating coal mine in the world where you can get into with a tour.
In Pyramiden, we have the northernmost film-stock cinema in the world. A blacken-out cinema hall and sounds of an old cine-projector dip the audience into the atmosphere of the past century.
Our guides speak multiple languages: English, Norwegian, Swedish, French, Russian.
Arctic Travel Company Grumant owns 4 accommodation units: guesthouse Russkiy Dom in Longyearbyen, a hotel in Barentsburg and hostel Pomor in Barentsburg and a hotel in Pyramiden.
Besides, there is a brewery, restaurant and bar Red Bear. We served our first beer in 2012. Belgian equipment, English malt, high fermentation yeast and water from the glacier lake – these are all ingredients which give a unique opportunity to taste the northernmost beer Red Bear.
Icebreaker Bar Krasin. The design is based on the interiors of two legendary icebreakers Krasin and Lenin. Within breakthrough technologies, both of them had the richest interior decoration.
Restaurant Rijpsburg is named to pay tribute to the captain of Willem Barentsz' expedition, Jan CorneliszRijp and Rijpsburg a settlement named in honour of the captain and founded in the 1920s by his descendants, Dutch miners, on the western shore of Isfjorden. The restaurant kitchen makes an accent on meals with fish caught in the area of local fjords and Northern specialties.
We are for sustainable nature-orientated tourism: we travel carefully through pristine wilderness areas and ecologically sensitive places, always striving to have minimal impact on the environment and the animals. All our itineraries are approved by the Governor of Svalbard.
